Clarence "Lee" Beebe III, 66, of Modest Town, VA, passed away on February 20, 2025, with his loving wife, daughter, and close friends near his side.
Lee was born in Salisbury, MD, on August 14, 1958, but resided for most of his childhood and young adult life on Chincoteague Island, VA. He was the son of the late Ralph Beebe and Jeanette Ann Beebe (Hill).
He loved the ocean and the water. As a youngin’, he began working at Capt. Bob's on Chincoteague Island with one of his best friends, Greg Birch. Years later, Lee went on to be a clam boat captain for the American Orignals’ "The Little Gull."
Lee never met a stranger. No matter where he went or how much time had passed seeing someone he would always strike up a conversation and talk for what seemed like hours. Family was everything to him. He loved his wife of 38 years with all his heart and would do anything he could for his kids and grandkids. He thought the world of those grandbabies and they all love/loved their "Pop-Pop." Lee also had two fur babies he loved unconditionally, Frankie and Chloe.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Sandy, of Modest Town, VA; his daughters, Stephanie and her husband, Carl, and Alyssa and her husband, Derrick; his son, Jacob and his wife, Brittany; his grandbabies, Connor, Zane, Ava, Bella, Declen, Linken, and Kayleigh; his loving cousins, Zebie Zay and Reenie Rae; his older sister, Barbara Gray, of Modest Town, VA; and Charlie and Susan Perch, his longtime friends since grade school whom he loved as family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Beebe; his mother, Jeanette Beebe; his brothers, Denny, Ricky, and Billy Beebe; his loving cousin, Maureen; and his best friend, Greg Birch.
Per his request, no public service will be held.
