Darlene Faye Crow, 78, of Hallwood, VA, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home. She received her last wish of returning to her farm she loved and being surrounded by her beloved family and pets, as she slipped away from this earth.
Born August 20, 1943 in Monterey, VA, Darlene was the daughter of the late Jesse Reed and Catherine Cartwright Reed. She enjoyed flea markets and was a ‘junk connoisseur’ and collector of many things. She was fortunate to combine some of her hobbies into making a living, being the owner/operator of A-Z Furniture and the Hallwood Thrift Store. She enjoyed her home, living on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and spending treasured moments on the water quietly reflecting about life in her own way.
Darlene is survived by her children, Jean Jones, Chris Willey, Mark Crow, David Crow, Dwayne Crow, Melissa Tomaselli, and Tammy Gray; two sisters, Patricia Netz and Phyllis Divel; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Jesse Crowe and Ricky Crow; three sisters, Catherine Gatlin, Bunny Wagner and Janie Rager; and three brothers, Michael Reed, Jess Reed, and Dale Reed.
Per Darlene’s wishes, no public services will be held.
Arrangements are by the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home.
