Donald Lionel Doré

Mr. Donald Lionel Doré, 57, husband of Christine Ann Doré and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at his home. Born October 28, 1964 in Houston, TX and raised in Breaux Bridge, LA, he was the son of the late James Lionel Doré and Ellen Elizabeth Robinson Doré.

Following high school, Don enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving his country for more than 12 years. His extensive training in the Air Force prepared him for his next career as an automotive technician. Although he was very proud of his military career and many successes throughout his life, Don’s greatest achievement was in his role as husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his family and cherished each precious moment spent with them.

In addition to his wife and best friend, Christine, he is survived by his children, Charles Doré (Camantha), Michael Doré (Rebecca), Mitchell Doré, Jessica Martin, Monica Chance (Jacob), Zachary Hail, Kerry Hail, Joshua Hail, Derek Hail, and Cody Doré; sister, Constance Doré (Wendy); brother, Kevin Doré (Amy); grandchildren, Jasper Doré, Sophia Doré, August Lincoln Doré, Ethan Doré, and two on the way, Samuel Donald Hail and Lilliane Lee Doré; and nephew, Devin Doré. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his uncle, Ralph Robinson.

A gathering to celebrate Don’s life will be held at his son, Derek Hail’s residence, 24279 Gertrude Street, Parksley, VA, on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Bring a chair, you appetite, and a few good stories to share.
