Norman Edward “Eddie” Isdell, 70, husband of Helen Marie Isdell and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his home. Born June 19, 1951 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the only child born to the late Norman Isdell and Jacquelyn Bagwell Parks.
Eddie liked to keep busy, working several different jobs throughout his life. For many years, he worked at the former D&M Furniture and until this past May, at Jaxon’s. He looked forward to NASCAR Sunday’s, always routing for Bill Elliott’s #94 car. As a longtime member of Baptist Bible Church, Eddie was a proud Christian whose faith in the Lord brought him great peace and strength.
In addition to his wife of 23 years, Eddie is survived by his son, Kyle Brady of Parksley, VA; aunt, Bettie Chance of Onley, VA; and his chihuahuas, both of whom he lovingly called his “babies.”
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at the Liberty Cemetery in Parksley, VA on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverends Robert Fletcher and Wayne Asbury officiating.
