George Wharton Obituary

George R. Wharton, 78, of Melfa, VA, passed suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Born on September 16, 1941 in Accomack Co. VA, he was the son of the late Cleveland Charles Wharton and Beatrice Virginia Stevens Wharton.

George served his country in the United States Army and was a retired waterman.

Survivors include his brother, Cleveland Charles Wharton of Olney, MD, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Jean Sutherland of Norfolk, VA. and Betty Ann Uber of Virginia Beach, VA.

To honor George’s wishes, no public services were to be held.
