Gloria W. Isdell, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Manokin Nursing and Rehab in Princess Anne, MD. A native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, she was born April 22, 1938 in Wachapreague, VA to the late Burley and Annie Isdell. She moved to Maryland in 1957, where she raised her children.
She is survived by her children, Judy Webster and Jeffrey, Bruce, and Brian Whitman; brothers, James, Clifton, and Carrol Isdell; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gilmer Whitman; six sisters, Catherine Hargis, Pansy Peters, Elizabeth Reed, Marie Thornton, Helen Stipa, and Patricia Isdell and five brothers, Burleigh, Herbert, Robert, George, and Norris Isdell.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Bill McClung officiating. Interment will follow in the Wachapreague Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
