Obituary
Jacob Wolfe “Jake” Piersol, 79, passed away at his home in Hacksneck, VA, on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Born September 27, 1943 in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of the late James Luce Piersol and Jeanne Lee Piersol.
Jake married Zoe Bryans Piersol and together they had a harmonious union, filled with adventure and laughter, until her passing in 2013. Jake received his high school diploma and then spent two years in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, where he was chosen for training in Air Defense Artillery. Over the years, as he made his living as an antiques dealer, he created a cherished network of clientele. He was a master at finding treasures and collectibles to fill the homes of locals and those abroad.
He is survived by his sister, Virginia Piersol, of Lexington, VA; brother, Brian Piersol, and his wife, Rebekah Windmiller, of Brooklyn, NY; and nieces and nephews, Ben Feldman, Margaret Feldman, Kalliope Piersol, and Maxwell Piersol. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lucinda Feldman.
The family will gather privately to celebrate Jake’s life.
