Jeremy Dunton

Jeremy Christopher Dunton, 49, of Bloxom, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his residence.

Born August 14, 1972 in Allentown, PA, and raised in Rome, PA, Jeremy was the son of Sue Dorney of Florida and Dennis Alan Smith of Pennsylvania.  Following high school, Jeremy served his country in the United States Navy, and was a graduate of Pennsylvania Gunsmith School in their Master Gunsmith’s Program.  He was currently employed with Benelli USA in Pocomoke, MD, as a gunsmith.  He enjoyed shooting, fishing and gunsmithing; loved to read; and was a collector that included acquiring many Star Wars items through the years.

In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by five siblings, Jack Smith of Schnecksville, PA, Nancy Boyer of Hamburg, PA, Mark Lauchnor of Shoemakersville, PA, Gabe C. Dunton, Josh J. Dunton, and their families; son Joel; and maternal grandfather, Ralph H. Dorney.
