Kaye Aldris Mangin, 70, wife of the late James John Mangin and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 with her loving family at her side. Born February 15, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alden and Christine Kinsella Johns.
For many years, Kaye worked alongside family at her father’s health food store in Brooklyn until moving to the Eastern Shore thirty years ago. Kaye was an avid reader, though nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, all of whom adored their “Gramma.”
Kaye is survived by her children, Richard Smith of Florida; Andra Sailey (Raymond) of Virginia Beach, VA, Ian Mangin (Laura) of Delaware, Julia Mangin (Glen) of Bloxom, VA; sister, Jeanne Johns of New York and her children, Nicholas and Suzanne; brother, Leslie Johns (Angela) of California and their son, Keith; grandchildren, Travis, Brittany, Damon, Devlin, Ava, James, Joseph, Aubree, Jewel and Gavin.
The family will gather privately to celebrate Kaye’s life.
