Linda Parks Wilson, 73, of Pungoteague, VA, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Pocomoke City, MD. Born February 3, 1951, in Nassawadox, VA, she was the daughter of Bill and Betty Parks.
Linda was a woman of immense passion, embracing every interest with unwavering dedication and every love with the full depth of her soul. She was her daughter’s fiercest advocate in the darkest of moments, standing by her with unshakable devotion. Her fervid convictions meant she was one not to be crossed, but she was not immune to forgiving or saying she was sorry.
Words cannot fully capture the depth of her love for those closest to her, a love that extended to the animals she cherished. Her beloved dogs, Bubba and Willy, brought her immeasurable joy, and she dedicated herself to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals. Linda’s commitment to animals led her to found Angel Paws, an organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering, and adopting animals both locally and globally, and reflected her boundless compassion.
Her artistic endeavors included painting, crafts, and the ability to combine discarded and sometimes overlooked items into decorative and useful works of art. There just wasn’t enough time in one lifetime to develop all her talents.
Although they didn’t always see eye to eye, her loved ones could always count on her in tough times. The familial sense of humor they shared always had a way of bubbling to the surface even if the conversation became less than comfortable. She now joins all of her loved ones on the other side of that rainbow. Those on this side of the rainbow may see the rain for a while, but once the mist clears, they’ll find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
Linda is survived by her mother, Betty Evans Parks, of Onancock, VA; daughter, Kristin Kelly Edwards, of Wachapreague, VA; brother, William Thomas “Billy” Parks III, of Onancock, VA; and granddaughter, Zoe Edwards, of Wachapreague, VA.
She was predeceased by her father, William Thomas “Bill” Parks, Jr.
Funeral services will be private.
