Louis Bardinelli Obituary

Louis “Frank” Bardinelli, 74, of Temperanceville, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. Frank was born July 1, 1949, in Miami, FL, a son to Rufus “Rudy” Bardinelli and Foy Beckham Bardinelli.

Frank is survived by the love of his life, his wife Joy Evans Bardinelli; his children, Trisha Burgess (Paul Burgess), Vinny Bardinelli (Tabitha Ward), and Nicholas Bardinelli (Virginia Tittermary); grandchildren, Ethan Burgess, Reagan Burgess, and Ely Bardinelli; brothers, Rudy Bardinelli Jr., Tony Bardinelli, and Eric Meerheim; sister-in-law, Sandee White(J.D. Marshall); several nieces and nephews including Matthew White (Brooke Davis); his puppy, Little Girl; and several special buddies including Brian Alexander, Donnie “Muff” Dorsey, John Spencer, Stevie Darbie, Andy Tiftikidis, and a lifetime of others. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Rudy and Foy Bardinelli, and mother-in-law, Barbara Evans Taylor.

Born in Miami, he moved to the Eastern Shore in the early ’80s to run the Pizza Hut in Oak Hall, VA. He worked in the restaurant business for many years until he started Let There Be Light Window Washing Services. He would then spend the rest of his working life with his partners, Joy, Sandee, and J.D., at Capt. E's Hurricane Grill and Tiki Bar on Saxis Island. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with just about every patron that came into the restaurant. Not only was Frank a restauranteur, he was also an ordained minister of Universal Life Church and officiated several weddings over the years. He loved reading, especially books about spirituality and religion. He was a vegetarian: he said he would never eat anything that could look back at him. He loved his animals. His last wish was for the family was to rescue a local kitty, and they did just that. Joy called him her “leftover flower child.” Hardworking and giving, he took care of his family. He wanted to live a simple life on his land; he moved with peace and grace.

His children are his legacy. He loved them with everything he had. Not only was he a great father, he was also a loving PopPop and he cherished that role.
