Nancy Ward Obituary

Nancy Bonniwell Ward, wife of the late James H. Ward, Sr., of Onancock, VA, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2020 at home, with her daughters by her side.

Born February 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth S. and Garnett L. Bonniwell of Onancock.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ward was predeceased by her son, James H. “Jamie” Ward, Jr.  She is survived by her daughters, Trudy W. Kellam and husband Dickie of Keller, VA, and Cindy W. Linton of Parksley, VA; grandchildren, Jason G. Callaway and wife Heather, Elizabeth C. Gibbons and husband Garry, Matthew and Katie Linton, Kara W. Nissim and husband Mike, and James H. “Jake” Ward III and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Ariel Bishop and husband James, Daisey and Wyatt Callaway, Miranda and Cailee Gibbons, Jamie and Ari Nissim, and John Wesley Ward; great-great- grandchildren, Brantley Bishop, Leni and Luna Ladson; and Gary L. Callaway, her prior son-in-law whom she dearly loved.

She leaves behind a legacy of strength and perseverance, faith in God, and love and devotion to her family.

The family will gather for a private service.
