Patricia Mears Catlett

Patricia Mears Catlett, 69, of Colonial Beach, VA passed away on January 5, 2023. Born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Fred T. Mears Sr. & Bernice Gladding Mears.  She was a cheerleader in the Colonial Beach Drifters before graduating from the University of Richmond. She worked for Teamsters Insurance for 36 years and was a member of Colonial Beach Baptist Church.  Patti also coached swimming for the Special Olympics.

Survivors include her husband, John Wesley Catlett; son, Kyle Boggs; brother, Fred T. Mears Jr. (Kathi); and loving cousins on the Eastern Shore.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, February 11 at Colonial Beach Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, 225 Dennison St, Colonial Beach, VA 22443 or Parksley Volunteer Fire Co Inc, P.O. Box 14, Parksley VA 23421.
