Bert Like, Jr.

Mr. Bert Like, Jr., 74, husband of Rebecca Mae Like and a resident of Hallwood, VA, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence.

Born May 15, 1941 in Pike County, IN, he was a son of the late Bert Like and Catherine Hicks Like.  Bert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Bay of Pigs Invasion and was a longtime security guard at Perdue Farms.  Bert will be remembered for his laid back, fun loving nature. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Bert Like III and wife Ella Mae of Gargatha, VA, Keith Like and wife Young of Cape Charles, VA, Catherine Virginia Seibold and husband, Nathan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Tony Like and wife Christina of Melfa, VA, Vinson Like and wife Mary of Parksley, VA, and Peter Like of Hallwood; a sister, Joann Rybski and husband Robert of Monroe City, IN; nine grandchildren, Bert IV, Lisa, April, Kimmie, Nathan, Tiffany, Alex, Nick, and Winter; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan, and Leia.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert G. Like.

To honor Bert’s wishes, no public services will be held.
