Joey Kent

Mr. Joseph Robert “Joey” Kent, 25, resident of Sanford, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. 

Born January 5, 1991 in Portland, ME, he was a son of James W. “Jimmy” Kent of Sanford and the late Michele Antoinette Kent.  Joey was a 2009 graduate of Arcadia High School and worked as a landscape specialist.  He enjoyed weightlifting and playing pool.  A devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend, Joey’s fun loving spirit and good humor will be greatly missed by all. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his grandmother, Brenda Kay Perry Palmer of Pocomoke, MD; a sister, Kaytlin Yount and husband Ian of Newport News, VA; two brothers, Steven Kent and fiancé Beth Lafrenier of Biddeford, ME, and Aaron Kent and fiancé Kayla Winters of Maiden, NC; and a nephew, Brayden James Kent, whom he always called “Youngblood”.  Other than his mother, he was predeceased by his grandfather, Joe Palmer.

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Joey Kent of Sanford will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 11.
