Mrs. Rose Ann Harmon, 77, wife of the late Billy Bradford Harmon, and a resident of Bloxom, Va., passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at her home.
Born January 13, 1938 in Guilford, Va., she was a daughter of the late William H. “Bud” and Lena Taylor. Rose retired from Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center after nearly forty years as a certified nursing assistant. Throughout the years, her generous heart and compassionate manner touched the lives of each of her patients and co-workers. She was a member of Guilford United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her beloved son and caretaker, Michael K. Harmon of Bloxom; son, Donald Harmon of Parksley, Va.; daughter, Sandy Key of Salisbury, Md.; grandson, Steven Key of Modest Town, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Norma Short of Guilford, and Thelma Mackey of Painter, Va. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons, David Harmon, and Billy W. Harmon; a sister, Dora Taylor Lilliston; and two brothers, Donald “Shorty” Taylor, and Carlton Taylor.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Hyeon Ho Lee and Mr. George Fulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Parksley Cemetery. There will be a visitation, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
