I am so sorry to hear this.. I remember 30 years ago when I was her (their) favorite waitress and when I had my own restaurant all of the crew would come eat.. I baby sat for the grandkids.
She was always so happy to see me..as I was to see her.
Love and prayers to the family..

Anne, Betsy, Susan and Tom,
So sorry to hear about the death of your Mom. I saw her at alumni hall at UR about 3 years ago and had a nice talk with her catching up on the family. She was always full of life and had a smile on her face. I will pray for you and your family as you mourn her loss.
Regards,
Wade Belote

We will miss Charlotte's warmth, hospitality, especially those days at Habitat, and our Wednesday golf outings at the ESY&CC. When we moved to NJ she was one of our strong connections to the Shore and we will miss seeing her when we visit. We love you, Charlotte.

Dear Susan and Edmonds Family:

Charlotte became my first American friend when visiting my sister in Onancock in 1999. Her sincere interest in my future and personal happiness was very important to me; we saw each other on so many occasions, each meeting adding to my love and appreciation in knowing her. I thank God for the opportunity of being her friend.

Tanya.

Susan and Family: So sad now to just learn of the passing of your mother. She was a true gentlewoman and great lady of the South the likes of whom will not be seen again. On the occasions when she would speak to me about her life and experiences, I would feel that I was being given a brief glimpse into a bygone, more graceful era that she represented so well. Lee and I feel privileged to have known her. Rest in Peace gracious lady.

Charlotte and I shared so much tennis fun together at the ESYachtand CC. Sue Chandler, Nancy Irvin and Charlotte and I would play doubles and then have lunch afterwards and just laugh forever! I have so many fond memories of attending Onancock Baptist Church with my children and seeing Tom and all four children take their seats in the pew and when we began singing the first opening hymn, in came Charlotte, she loved to sneak in those extra sleep minutes, I'd just smile to myself and tease her on the tennis court. She will be missed!

Dear Edmonds Family,
My heart goes out to you during this time of such a great loss. I have so many fond memories of your mother from our growing up years all the way through to the last time I saw her, which was at the Blarney Stone one evening not too long ago with Susan. She was always such a classy and kind lady who exuded a strong will and spirit: the kind I like to emulate. Thinking of her makes me smile because being around her always made me smile. How blessed you all have been with such awesome parents; what a privilege that their legacy lives on in you, quite admirably, by the way. May God be with you all.

Charlotte was a very active volunteer and supporter of Habitat, and was a lot of fun on the work sites. She also served on the Habitat Board. She had a perpetual smile on her face and would tackle any job we had for her. Her interest in Habitat never waned and when she could no longer work actively with us she still kept up with what was being done by Habitat. She will be greatly missed.

To Charlotte Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more free comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com
