Evelyn N. Gibb

Mrs. Evelyn N. Gibb, 90, wife of the late Robert G. Gibb and a resident of Onancock, VA, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.

Born August 22, 1927 in Keller, VA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel William Nock and Edith Byrd Willis Nock.  Evelyn graduated from Central High School in Painter, VA, and attended Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church.  She had worked with C & P Telephone Company in Washington, DC, the Navy Department at the Pentagon, and Department of Highways in Fredericksburg, VA.

Survivors include her children, Steve Redman of Annapolis, MD, Margie McCord and her husband Jim, of King George, VA, Ronald Redman of Onancock, and Debbie Redman of Warrenton, VA; a step-son, Gary Gibb and his wife Lisa, of Melfa, VA; four grandchildren, Ronni McCord, Ryan Brown, Bethany and Claire Redman; and two step-grandchildren, Nick and Alex Gibb.

Following Evelyn’s wishes, services will be private.
