Anna Drummond Parker Hampton, widow of John West Hampton, and lifelong resident of Onancock, Virginia, died at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Virginia, on Thursday, August 4, 2016.  She was born in Onancock on May 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Tully Page Parker and Roberta Lee Waples Parker.

Anna was a graduate of Onancock High School, Class of 1939, and received an Associate Degree from Farmville State Teachers College in Farmville, Virginia.  She was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild for many years.

Anna was also an active member of many organizations, including Ye Accawmacke Garden Club, and a charter member of the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club.  She was especially interested in History and Genealogy, and was a member of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chapter DAR, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society, the Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Virginia, the Page-Nelson Society, and the Nicholas Martiau Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Page Hampton Dean and her husband David W., and Katharine West Hampton Morgan and her husband John E., Jr.; five grandchildren, David Wilfrid “Will” Dean, Jr. (Robyn), Katharine Elizabeth Dean, Holly Page Dean Bundick (Josh), Anna Nelson Morgan Pridgen (Ben), and Benjamin Hampton Morgan; six great-grandchildren, Olivia Parker Pridgen, Levi Winstead Pridgen, Wyatt West Dean, Everett Gunner Dean, Joshua Alexander Bundick, Jr., and Parker Lee Bundick; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.  In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was predeceased by her only son, John Charles Hampton in 1975; her brother, Tully Page Parker, Jr. in 1989; and her sister, Katharine Roberta Parker Lasley in 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Onancock, on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., by The Reverend Berkley Ford, Rector of Holy Trinity Church.  A private interment will be in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
