I got to know Charles quite well over the past few years. Charles truly had a good heart. He 'owned' the mistakes he had made in his earlier life. He loved his children, CR and Dawn, and loved his brother Albert and the rest of his family, both those here and those gone. He fondly remembered 'the good times of the past', old friends and family, and told stories with delight. Of his friends, he was especially grateful for friend Vince. Charles loved Billy Graham and would look at Billy Graham sermons on video. He said he remembered times in the past when he would put his hand on top of the television when Billy Graham was preaching because he would be so moved. As sad as the loss is, this is the way Charles would have liked to go. I thank God he was spared a long period of suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with Dawn, CR & Brenda, Albert, and all those who are feeling the loss of Charles.

A heartfelt and lovely service for Charles today. Touching and authentic sharing. He would have been very happy to hear his children's words, and to see his brothers Albert and Jerry, and all the other folks who were there. He loved you all. Rev Parsley also did well. You can RIP now Charles!
