While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Colin, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will continue to reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. This is only natural when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, be comforted in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as shown in the video link below. In the meantime, God warmly invites you to trust in Him for comfort (2 Cor. 1:3,4). Please accept my condolences during this time of distress.

For many years, Colon and my husband Ed, and I ( Ed passed in 2008) shared many years of laughter and friendship as members of DUMC choir, and for Ed and Colon, the UMM's group...breakfasts etc. When Ed passed, Colon remained a good friend...we drifted apart and I hadn't seen him in years...but I know he and Ed are reunited in Heaven and laughing it up! I think I only met you once,Bobby, and I never met you Nancy, but he talked always of you both in such loving ways. Happy Birthday, Colon!

I was blessed with the opportunity to meet with Mr. Loflin one time as his hospice chaplain before he passed. It was a wonderful visit and I know he is happy to be home with his Lord. He will be missed. May you all be comforted by the Lord at this time.
