Hello, I am very sorry for your loss. If you ever need encouragement just remember Acts 24:15 which lets us know that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.

What a delight it was to have Mr. Upshure volunteer at the hospital. With his quick wit and dedication to our hospital, it was always a pleasure to see his smiling face each week. He was a wonderful volunteer and all of the volunteers and employees send their heartfelt sympathy to the family of such a wonderful man.

My mother was so fond of Giles. She was Bea Ashby, resident of the Hermitage and member of Christ Church. It was sad to see his decline and I send my sympathy from myself and from my family.

It was my pleasure to know Giles when I lived on the shore during the '70s. I admired and respected him as a man of great integrity and strong will. I recall Janie's passing with sorrow to this day. She was a wonderful lady.

My best to the Upshur family.........and particularly to you, Susie.

Very best regards,

Tom Palmer

I am so sorry for your loss. It was wonderful to get to know Giles beginning 14 years ago and I valued our friendship. He had a rich life, growing as a person throughout his journey, staying active, and always seeking to give back to his community. His love for his family and for his country carried him through a long and distinguished life. May you be comforted by happy memories.

My deepest sympathies on your loss. I fondly remember visiting Giles and the family as a little girl along with my grandfather Otho and grandmother Eva around the holidays and on other special occasions. Even later in life in visiting him and Claudia, he made me feel welcome and included. May you find comfort in your own special memories.
