Although she was not a member of our congregation, Louise was a part of the activities at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Jenkins Bridge. She helped waitress at many a pancake supper and David looked forward to working the tables with her. She was a joy to be with. She was kind and giving. She loved to have a good time and inspired a positive attitude in those around her. We grieve for all those were close to her, especially her family. She will be missed.

We just learned of Louise's passing and are so saddened. She was such a precious person....kind and genuine in every way. She was a friend of my Mom's, Sibyl Matthews of Pocomoke, and they shared many good times. Condolences to all the family.

Mark, Laura Ellen and families.
We were very sorry to hearing about the passing of your mom. I (Mickey) was at Hospice at the Lake on Tuesday for several hours not long before your mom arrived. I am sorry I did not get to see her that evening. Because of the passing of my stepfather earlier and dealing with all the family issues at that time, I was not able to get back up at the Lake on Thursday, as I usually do. I did not find out that she had passed until the following Tuesday and did not know about the funeral until after it was over.
She was a special lady and I am very sorry I did not get to see her again before her passing. She certainly leaves a wonderful heritage for your families!

It is with much sadness that I learned of Louise's passing...she was definitely a "Queen" in every sense of the word....an elegant lady and a "class act" for sure....even though I don't live in the Assawoman neighborhood any longer; I would occasionally see her & we would fondly reminiscence about days of long ago....I shall always remember fondly one time when all of Laura Ellen's daughters were here for a visit and came over to our home (my late ex-husband was Billy Chesser)....what a wonderful time we had; Louise always spoke of that day whenever I saw her & we always discussed where & what her granddaughters were doing....it seems so long ago but wonderful memories for sure....we rejoice knowing Louise is at eternal rest and reunited with her loving husband Eddie & beloved son Craig....love & God's blessed peace to you her family.....

We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one. While we are saddened, we can be hopeful because our Heavenly Father is aware of your pain. He promises at Revelation 21:4 to put an end to tears, pain, and death. We hope that you continue to look to him for comfort in the days to come.

Louise was a wonderful person full of light.

She knew the value of family and friends and was always looking to make and maintain connections. She worked hard to assure we know and continue to benefit from having people in our lives with whom we share a history and could share a future. This included her traveling far to share our wedding day which was full of happiness, family and friends.

I was in my early adulthood before my connection with Louise and the larger family she was instrumental in my.meeting was known to me. From that point forward, she did change my life. I looked forward to seeing and hearing from her and them. She was always bright with interesting stories and so proud of her immediate family of whom we saw less frequently but remained in touch with. Louise has laid the plan and her mortal work is done.

Louise we will miss you but your spirit and your contribution to us all remains. I hope I can honor your memory by strengthening my connection with the family to whom you introduced me to. Thank you Louise, we love and miss you.

My Deepest Sympathy. Although this is such a difficult time for you all, please remember you have precious memories that are comforting. Get together and share them with one another. You also have God, who really cares for you, and is ready and waiting to help you. Philippians 4:6, 7 says: "Do not anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers (your mind, your thoughts) by means of Christ Jesus." Lean on God, he is always there for you, he will give you peace at this most anxious time, he wil protect you and comfort you, and if necessary, he will carry you until you can stand on your own. May "the God of all comfort," comfort you. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)

Mark, Laura Ellen and family - I was so saddened to hear about your Mom. She will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I do love the picture you posted of Louise. In life, I found her to be a true Queen and a lovely lady. She was always elegant and charming and a very hard worker, precise, absolutely perfect and proud of her work. She trained me to work in her position at the health department back in the 1980s and she was a perfectionist and I found it very hard to fill her shoes when she retired. Loved her beautiful smile... she will always be in my heart.
