Mrs. Mildred Ross Goffigon, 98, wife of the late William O. Goffigon, and a resident of the Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, formerly of Parksley, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017.

Born August 27, 1918 in Concord, NC, she was the daughter of the late Reverend M.L. Ross and Zelma C. She is survived by her four loving daughters, Ann G. Bull and husband Rick of Parksley, Beth G. Darby and husband Ed of Cape Charles, VA, Nancy G. Lewis of Parksley, and Kay G. Phillips and husband Dick of Cape Charles; eight devoted  grandchildren, Russell Bull and wife Kathy of Plano, TX, Paige Tatum and husband Brad of Boston, MA, Dr. Andrew Darby and wife Elizabeth of Charlottesville, VA, Mary Krouse of Dillwyn, VA, Chip Lewis of Virginia Beach, VA, Bo Phillips and wife Katie of Grasonville, MD, Ross Phillips of Washington, DC, and Betsy Phillips of Brooklyn, NY; ten great-grandchildren, Nock, Will, and Charlotte Darby, Caroline and Tucker Krouse, Taylor and Parker Lewis, and Graham, Vivienne, and Charlie Phillips; sisters, Ruth Rorshach and Grace Byer; brothers, Paul and Eddie Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Hermitage on the Eastern Shore on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Robert Fletcher officiating.  Private interment will be held in the Parksley Cemetery.
