To the family of Carolyn and Tom Rienerth. My heart felt sympathy.

Tom was a shipmate of mine aboard the Coral Sea back in 1953, some 65 years ago. Our home port was Norfolk and we spent 6 months of the year in the Mediterranean. Of all the people I met in the navy, Tom was the most likable and interesting. We were watch officers in the engine room. Our other duties were as division officers. He was of the R (repair) division and I was of the B (boiler) division. My dear wife patiently listens to my sea stories, as I remember my navy days, of the fine people I met, such as Tom Rienerth.

Mark, I was so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I will always remember how much time he put in around your baseball career in Little League and Babe Ruth and I assume at Onancock. He was such a positive influence to all the kids.

I don't get back to the Shore as often as I'd like and see so few people when I do, but wanted you to know I was thinking of you.

To the Rienerth Family: I am truly sorry to see here of Tom's passing. He was a genuine man and a mentor to so many. He was a coach to me and a strong Christian in my church teaching many classes I had attended. He was always there with a smile and a pat on the back and an encouraging way. He will be missed. All my best to you all. Chris Chandler

Mr. Rienerth was a wonderful role model for all, especially young men that he came in contact with. He always cared deeply for his students and encouraged many, including myself. Mr. Rienerth always demonstrated a "servant heart" in his daily life and was a genuine man. May God bless the Rienerth family during this time. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the 'God of all comfort' be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it states that very soon 'death will be brought to nothing'. Then, we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on earth (john 5:28,29). I truly hope this has brought you comfort and hope. With deepest sympathies, Gracin and family

So sorry Mr. Rienerth's passing. He was a wonderful teacher and encouragement to his students. He always allowed me to have a few minutes in class each Monday morning to share my weekend fun! I think he found me entertaining! I know he will be missed by many. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow.

What a great loss to our community. I remember once walking into his classroom as he was paying for a tape that a student recorded for him of the student playing classical guitar music. It has stayed with me that he was shaping that young man. He was giving him a gift which would continue on for a lifetime. We were lucky to have had him as a role model... my sincere condolences.

Prayers and condolences to the family. His efforts and encouragement inspired an undersized freshman football player with the confidence that would take him through many avenues of life and for that I am grateful. Thank you Tom Rienerth! Blessings!

Carol and to all of your family - Mary and I are truly saddened to hear this news. Tom was someone I always admired for his love of you Carol and his family and the community. I enjoyed coaching with Tom, in the baseball little league, visiting you both at your house for parties, or just to visit. I also enjoyed my trips to your house to help Tom with the computer. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers, especially at this time. We love you both. Many good thoughts, Evan and Mary
