Mr. William “Bauer” Adams, 92, husband of the late Margaret Ann Wallace Adams and a resident of Accomac, Va., passed away at his home on Friday, August 19, 2016.

Born August 4, 1924, he was a son of the late Wilfred Andrew Adams and Maude Elizabeth Dukes Adams.  Bauer served his country in the United States Army during WWII, and later served in the National Guard.  He was a former security guard; longtime waterman; retired from Wallops Fire Department; member of Drummondtown United Methodist Church, and Central Lodge #300, A.F. & A.M; and lifetime member of Elks Lodge #1766.

Survivors include two daughters, E. Ann A. Loukx and husband James R. of Accomac, and Barrie Jo “Pennie” Rew and husband Mark D., Sr. of Parksley, Va.; three grandchildren, William Donald Belote, Angela M. Atkinson, and Mark Douglas Rew, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney E. Smith, Summer L. Belote, Shelby M. Smith, Cassidy N. Belote, Mallory B. Smith, Helen C. Atkinson, and Madelyn H. Rew; one great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Faye Shively; a sister, Nora Adams Walker of Chincoteague, Va.; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, and loving wife of sixty-seven years, he was predeceased by two infant brothers.

Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., from the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home, with The Reverend Bill Greer officiating.  A private family interment with military honors, will be held in the Edgehill Cemetery in Accomac.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Drummondtown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 267, Accomac, Va.  23301, or to the V.F.W. Post 2296, P.O. Box 99, Tasley, Va.  23441.
