Carole Horner

Mrs. Carole Salisbury Horner, 92, wife of the late Stanley K. Horner and a resident of Chesapeake, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Hospice House of Williamsburg, in Williamsburg, Va.

Born April 18, 1923 in Floyd County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James Dee Salisbury and Armina Conn Allen.

Survivors include a daughter, Renia Horner Davis (husband Jeff) of Melfa, Va.; a son, Stanley K. Horner, Jr. of Chesapeake, Va.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Horner Rhoad (husband Anthony) of Williamsburg, Va., and Caroline Horner of Portsmouth, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Brenden and Mason White, and Isaiah and Elijah Rhoades; and a brother, Alfred Salisbury of Floyd County, Ky.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Horner was predeceased by her second husband, Albert Raper.

The family wishes to thank caregiver Jerry Hols, and Hospice House of Williamsburg, for their affection and care given to their loved one.

Services will be private, and memorial donations are requested to be made to Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, Va.  23188.
