            Mrs. Victoria DuBose Thomas, 90, wife of the late Austin Nock Thomas, and a resident of Temperanceville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

          Born May 19, 1925 in Olanta, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sydney L. DuBose and Margaret Hill DuBose.  Mrs. Thomas faithfully worked in the cafeteria at Arcadia High School, retiring after twenty-three years of service. Thoughout her life, she enjoyed sun bathing, exercising, walking, and riding a stationary bike.  One of the many attributes for which Victoria was renouned, was her sense of timeless style.  She was a dedicated member of Atlantic Baptist Church for over 60 years, and will be remembered for her love and compassion to all.

          Survivors include two sons, Larry Thomas and wife Laura, of Onley, VA, and Michael Thomas and wife Carol, of Dover, DE;  five grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, of Dover, Colin Thomas of Phoenix, AZ,  Tyler and Jacob Thomas of Onley, and Tana Thomas of Pocomoke City, MD;  one great-granddaughter, Taylee Thomas of Chincoteague, VA;  her deceased twin sister’s daughters, Emily(deceased), Margaret, Debbie, Victoria, and Karen;  her special friend and companion, William Hardstock, and his family, of Chincoteague; sixteen nieces; and five nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her twin sister, Vivian Matthews; a sister, Florence Baker; and five brothers, Fred, Vernon, Ivan, Sydney, and James DuBose.

          Funeral services will be held at the Atlantic Baptist Church on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Richard Inman officiating.  Interment will follow in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery, in Temperanceville.  There will be a visitation at the church, one hour prior to the service.

          Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ESCADV), PO Box 3, Onancock, VA 23417.
