Karen,
I am sorry that I could not attend your dad's services. I am recovering from back surgery and confined to the house for several weeks. Woodie was such a good friend for so many years. He will be missed.

Karen, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He was a good friend of my parents, Elmer & Nancy Twyford. We have lost so many of the many familiar people from Onancock area this last year.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Karen...I remember the many visits to Uncle Woody's and Aunt Kit's house and the visits they would make down Ocean City when our family was there. I will always remember the many and good hearted debates uncle Woody and I would have about the Yankees and Orioles... lol A good hearted man.... He will be welcomed in heaven with open arms. Rest in peace Uncle Woody

I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. At John 5:28, 29 Jesus tells us that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask God to bless your family and give you the strength to endure this most trying time.

May your family and friends find comfort in God's promise to "swallow up death forever... and wipe away the tears from all faces" (Isaiah 25:8). Along with the promise of a time soon when 'no resident' will say "i am sick" (Isaiah 33:24). "Remember the resurrection hope for both righteous and unrighteous" (Acts 24:15). My sincere condolences to your family.
